New temporary exhibition of thalers from Transylvania

The National Museum of Hungary invites you to visit the newest temporary exhibition to be opened on 6 June, 2016 at 11.oo am., where a unique collection of 216 pcs thalers and medals issued by thirteen princes of Transylvania will be presented. The exhibition will be open between 6 June - 11 September, 2016 (opening hours: from 10 am till 6 pm, except Mondays)

Hungary is back in the international football stream ! New mint set available!

Three denominations issued for the 2016 Summer Olympic Games

The Magyar Nemzeti Bank issued one gold (0,5 g small gold), one silver (HUF 10000) and one base metal (HUF 2000) collector coin devoted to the 2016 Olympic Games. The gold is available by clicking here.
The silver is sold at the face value price until 27 July, 2016.
The base metal can be ordered also at face value, without time limitation, until its stock last.

The Fundamental Law of Hungary on the first collector coin of 2016

The first commemorative coin appeared on 25th April in 2016. Two versions - HUF 10,000 silver and HUF 2,000 base metal - are devoted to the 5th Anniversary of the Fundamental Law of Hungary, the first written constitution adopted by a democratically elected legislation.
The silver is sold at the price equalling of its face value until 25th July 2016, while the base metal is available at HUF 2,000 until the stock lasts, without time limitation. Both coins are issued in 5,000 pcs each.

Two in one medal for Numismatists

Unique medal and useful magnifying glass in one! The new product of the Hungarian Mint called Numismatic Medal means a triple zoomed magnifying glass lens integrated in a silvered non-ferrous metal frame. The magnifying lens is assembled with the ring by striking, without any added gluing material. The design shows all 10 mintmarks of the historical Hungarian terrorities.
