JavaScript:

The JavaScript programming language is an object-oriented scripting language, which is widely used on Webpages. JavaScript was fist standardised in 1997-1999 under the name “ECMAScript”. The currently valid standard is ECMA-262 Edition 3 (1999 December), which is equivalent to JavaScript 1.5. The standard is also an ISO standard.
On our homepage, certain functions needs JavaScript and thus it is necessary to set JavaScript to ‘enabled’ in your browser - if this has been previously turned off.

Downloads

Due to the extremely wide range of computing options in terms of hardware and software, we are not able to describe a download scheme which is optimised for your computer. If you are uncertain about how to download various materials from the Internet, please refer to your computer’s user manual or manufacturer.

Opening executable and text files
Executable (filename.exe) and text (filename.txt) files can be opened by double clicking on them. The Hungarian Mint recommends that before opening first copy executable files to a separate folder or create a folder for this purpose.

Information on .pdf files
The .pdf file format was designed to allow you to view and print out files, without needing the software with which the files were produced. Adobe™ provides a free program (Adobe Reader), which makes it possible for you to work with these files. Once you have installed this on your computer, it is generally found under “Start menu / Programs”.
Adobe Reader can be downloaded for free from the developer’s Webpage, where further information is also available. If you do not have this program, you can click on the link below to obtain a copy.

Opening compressed (filename.zip) files
After downloading, compressed files can be opened using the programs PKZip or WinZip. For further information, please see the software developer’s sites http://comm.pkware.com/pkzip-windows-home-download.html or www.winzip.com).

Please recall: PKZip and WinZip are shareware programs. If you use them regularly, it is appropriate to pay a user fee to the developing company. For more details, please read the legal information which comes with the program.
