Medals are similar to commemorative coins in their way of production, in material or in form, but can not meet the requirements of a legal tender, since they have no face value granted by an authority.
They are struck for commemorating anniversaries, significant events, special social occasions, etc.
Base metal medals are devoted among others to commemorate important historic, cultural and scientific events and features of Hungary, like series of Famous Hungarian Painters, Masterpieces of the Hungarian Architecture or the series of the Zodiac medals.
The medals are mostly packed into PE capsules, except of the patinated ones. Etuis for the medals can be ordered separately.
