The Magyar Nemzeti Bank issued a collector coin to honor Miklós Zrínyi, the great Hungarian poet and commander, marking the 350th anniversary of his death. The coin was designed by László Hunyadi, a sculptor living in Marosvásárhely (present-day Târgu Mureş). The front of the coin features a bust of Zrínyi as a grown man, with the back showing his place of birth, the castle of Csáktornya, along with Zrínyi’s motto “Sors bona, nihil aliud” (“Good luck, nothing else”).
The coin was issued in a HUF 5000 silver (proof) and a HUF 2000 base metal (BU) version.
